Born to the carnival life of a Borscht Belt Catskills hotel family, Bart has never let the ordinary constrain him. His first book, A Catskill Carnival: My Borscht Belt Life Lived, Lost and Loved, is a memoir of his early years in a unique setting. Pickle Barrel Tales is the companion collection of over 50 wry vignettes and illustrations. His background in management and consulting spans diverse fields: business administration, education, research, AV media and information technology. Raised in resorts and construction, educated in psychology, anthropology and science, his experience combines depth knowledge of behavior and business processes. Bart is an excellent public speaker, featured on television, radio, and in print many times, and has been quoted in Newsweek, The Wall Street Journal, and interviewed on the NBC Today Show. He holds the Jefferson Award for community leadership is noted for his service in the US Congressional Record. He holds an M.A.Ed in Counseling and a B.A. in Anthropology & Sociology from Wake Forest University. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife, grown children and grandchildren. |
